FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

more participants at Susanne at Living to tell the Story.

1. The most important thing for me which happened this week was the arrival of the first part of my Blog book "My Cats and funny Stories" I had just printed 1 year and I have to say it's really nice, I didn't expect such a good result. All pictures even cartoons or designs came out well.

and so it looks ! I think when he is grown up, my little grandson Toby can read about his grandma and her cats.

2. I had to go shopping and couldn't go through Waterloo the whole main street was closed and police and firemen were blocking the center. The school had been evacuated and all the students were gathered in the Waterloo park. I first thought it was a demonstration, but it was a gas leak and nobody knew from were it came. Indeed when I was in the Gallery I could smell it a little.

Finally they found the leak and cars could go through Waterloo again and nobody blew up !

3. In my painting class the theme was "Surrealism"

I painted this one eyed cat woman and my class mates said it would be a nice target for darts. Maybe I should paint it on wood.

4. The whole week the painters were busy and we live in a mess, fortunately it doesn't smell and the weather is not too cold even the sun is shining so that we can open a window.

For a change I have repainted just one wall in a deep red, here it looks still too red, but it is not yet finished.

5. The rest of my time I spent with collecting cats and put them in this laundry basket, they were all standing in my room, besides the once on the chair.

My room looks quiet empty now. I hope they can start tomorrow with the rest of the rooms.
Mr. G and the cats are very disturbed in their daily routine !! Mr. G. even more than the cats who always find a little napping place and just play deaf.

My house was being renovated a few years ago by the housing association and it was mayhem. A new bathroom and a new kitchen meant a lot of noise and mess and my cats were not happy at all. I had to lock them in the bathroom for days on end, because the front door would be open or the whole of the front of the house would be gone! It looks nice now though...

So glad nobody blew up! :)
The book & picture looks great...people who can paint fascinate me...I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. Love the windows in your house!

Your blog book looks really good:-)
I like your red wall, too, and your surrealist painting. You are clever!

Do you mind share the link for getting the book done again, please? And can you write me an e-mail about how much does it cost?

Hard when your life is all turned upside down but after all the workers are done and gone you are gonna love your freshly painted house. Love the red wall.

All the mess will be worth it when it's all finished. And what a talented painter you are!

wow... you did that book in lightning speed!

How long did it take you to edit it?

How cool to have a blog book. Someday I hope to look into such a thing. It will be a great keepsake.

I like the look of freshly painted walls although I do not like the upheaval emptying the room causes. I can so relate to your cats and Mr G's sense of unease.

The blog book looks like fun! I've heard of them, but I've never looked into the process/cost.

I think the red wall will look pretty when everything is finished and back in place. :)

Wow, the book looks nice! I think it will be a nice keepsake. If you don't mind my asking, was it very expensive?

Glad the gas leak problem was fixed without problems.

Had to smile at your painting -- your personality shines through it.

It is disturbing when there is some house project going on, but so nice when it is done.

I know your grandson will love looking at all the photos of the kitties. What a fun idea!

It's truly a good thing that no one was blown up in the gas leak!

I like your book! Congratulations on having it printed. It would be a good keepsake for the younger generation wouldn't it?

And yes - having your house renovated is a lot of bother, especially for the cats.
