Wow, what fun. I was in Belgium for a few minutes, watching and listening to those videos. I was amused to hear people singing along to "Son of a Preacher Man". Mind you, I would have sung along too if I was there.Great post, Gattina. Thank you.
Marvelous post, Gattina, of your National Day! Sorry for the threats, they seem to be common everywhere these days, sad commentary on our world today! But the good side is that everyone still had fun! Your photos are great, enjoyed them all!Have a great week!Sylvia
Your world looks very colorful today!Lovely post.
It's a good thing we have you as a papparazza to make a full report on our National Day, complete with footage on two video's as well as lots of pictures! Well done Gattina!

Beautiful snaps of celebrations. The architecture of the building en route are awesome. Beautiful world.
wow what a wonderful celebration - too bad Germany doesn't have kings and queens so we can have a party like that ;) there really isn't much exciting around here on Oct. 3 (reunification day) except maybe in Berlin? otherwise - "tote hose" *wink*
Europeans sure know how to celebrate. Lovely colour atmosphere and music. Happy Birthday Belgium.Everyone looks warm and summery.
You know how to celebrate in Belgium. This looks like so much colourful fun.
Wow, Gattina, I celebrated along with you because of your photographic and video reports on the whole day. Wonderful. It all looks so amiable. I'm sorry that the Royals are being threatened and attacked. Hugs Jo
Wonderfully festive atmosphere for your National Day, and to have the royals out in force was a special treat all round.

The celebrations looks fab, and such great weather too! I was in Brussels once on this day, but we arrived in the evening, so we only saw the fireworks (and all the drunk people sitting out on the Grand Place). Thanks for sharing this day with us :-)
Great post! It really makes me feel like visiting Brussels again, and stopping by Waterloo to visit you of course. I recognise many of the places. You did a good job of giving us the feeling of the day!
Happy National Day, Gattina! The Queen Mother seems a humourous lady. :)We would be having our National Day in early August.
Lovely set of photos and another great story behind. I have to say tho the Widow Queen with the apple, was just too funny, at least she can take things with the proverbial grain of salt.Moorebloglife.com
