Usually I don't like jokes and wouldn't even read them. But this title draw my attention when I got an email :

What Do Retired People Do All Day?

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop.
We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?

He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tyres.

So my wife called him a dick-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

I recognized myself and Mr. Gattino. We could have lived this too and it's true a little fun each day is very important for all of us.

  1. I've read that before and I really like it? That's what I like about getting grey hair and wrinkles. We can get away with so much! Heehee...It's called getting older disgracefully.

  4. Laughter is indeed the BEST medicine around. And I loved this joke. I've read it before, but still...it hits home with us seniors. LOL

    Happy weekend Gattina.

  5. Laughing is important not only for retired people! Friday we did the carnival parade at school and I saw many people (and some were teachers) who were following the kids without a smile on their face as if it was funeral parade!!! But the pupils were irresistible in their costums! I couldn't understand why adults loose the faculty to appreciate simple things of life!
