I haven't ridden a bike for years and would probably fall off if I tried now. Isn't it supposed to be like sex, you never forget...or is it the other way round?
Great idea and great for the environment, too! I used to ride my bike to work but stopped because the traffic here in PP is getting crazier as the day goes on. There goes my daily exercise *sigh*
It's a very nice idea! I like biking but it's here dangerous when there isn't special little passage only reserved for the bikes. when I won't have to bring Mélissa at the bus stop every morning I'd like to try to go at work every morning by bike.
That is a very great idea! I´ve never been in Brussels but they do this in Bremen too.
Schade, dass dir der Weihnachtsmarkt in Köln nicht so gut gefallen hat. Wir fahren morgen nach Bremen zum Weihnachtsmarkt, aber wenn ich jetzt schon an die Menschenmassen denke....
Looks like they might get a little cold riding bikes there. I loved riding my bike when I was a kid but haven't ridden one in eons. Looks like a good idea though. I guess they are used to the cold weather. I'm not. It never gets really cold here. Charlotte
We have the same in Oslo, Norway and how environment friendly. Biking through the city is much more convinient and you don't have a parking problem (not to mention the cost!).
Interesting, it seems like your links were transferred over from the last Cats on Tuesday...
ReplyDeleteIt's great that the Brussels and other cities make bikes available like that.
I saw this in a town called Northampton in UK last week. Seems to be a great idea (I also saw it with little cars in London, though)...
ReplyDeleteHappy WW day, my post is here
nice idea.. we should try that here too.. less pollution, more work out.. see my daughter's Christmas Pictures year 2007 , year 2006 and on Christmas day itself of 2006

ReplyDeleteBarcelona has "bicing" and it's been a complete success!
ReplyDeleteHe,he, I think you got the idea of my world :)
Happy WW, my post is up!

ReplyDeleteOops... I don't know how to ride a bicycle.
ReplyDeleteThere are traffic jams in our city areas so this idea is good. :)

ReplyDeleteLooks healthy!
ReplyDeletethat would be perfect in the city i live in...but we need to wear a mask to ride a bike around here.:D
ReplyDeleteGreat way to get around. Sadly with London streets you take your life in your hands! Happy WW
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on a bike in YEARS!!! Actually, it looks cold there.
ReplyDeleteI was in Brussels just this past May. The traffic, even on a weekend is crazy. Love the bike shots.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very great idea!

ReplyDeleteCharlotte
they are going to do bike rentals in London... I'd love to try that
ReplyDeletefirst they want to try putting down some safe cycle tracks, though!!
That is a really great idea. I wish more cities followed this plan.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I Bet people are healthier too.
ReplyDeleteMore cities need to do this. It's almost 2009 and time to go green. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you tried riding a bike around here you would need snow chains on the tires.
ReplyDeletePerfect for health and environment.
ReplyDeleteWhat keeps people from stealing them?
