MANIC MONDAY - GRACE
MANIC MONDAY link
With this week's word I really have a lack of inspiration. I don't know anybody who has got days of grace, or felt in the king's bad grace lately. I even don't know anybody who says funny graces at table, in fact not even one who does it at all. No famous act of grace had been pronounced the last months (besides maybe for Paris Hilton). So the only thing which came into my mind were the gracious "restrooms" I had to use in Turkey, fortunately not everywhere because you can imagine that you couldn't do your business with grace on such a toilet !
Everywhere I went I saw these figurines in souvenir shops. Unfortunately I don't know the meaning of these gracious things. I sincerly doubt that it is a kind of advertising for XL condoms from a famous company. But anyway I hardly could imagine that they could grace my living room !

I Still love that toilet photo the best :) Great MM post.
ReplyDeleteGoodness me! How is one supposed to use that toilet...the mind boggles!
ReplyDeleteAs for the figurines, gotta love those...I wonder what they denote? Probably some sort of fertility rite...or trying on a condom for size...lol!
sooo funny....you always make me laugh!
ReplyDeletewow, I guess I am spoiled over here in America. Never seen a toilet like that. I guess it's way better than an out house.
ReplyDeleteLol . . .I'm with you on this one. I don't think I could "grace" that loo either!
ReplyDeletei think that firue has something to do with fertility.
ReplyDeletehappy monday!
Thanks for the birthday greetings! I have one more day of "59" then it's all downhill, huh?
ReplyDeleteJoking, of course!!! Phyllis Diller said she was going to be a sweet little old lady with a cane full of gin. Sounds about right...
I came up with famous "Graces." See what you think...
Gattina,
ReplyDeleteHappy MM! Thank you for visiting my blog this morning.
I am still smiling at the toilet and the little ... uh, not so little ... figurines!
peace, Villager
Why that looks positively glamorous compared to the ones I used in Turkey. Guess I visited the less chic places! LOL
ReplyDeleteA little coucou before going to work! It's a hard day and tomorrow too because Mélissa has her exam: le brevet des collèges!
Bah!
I can just see me with that sweet and wonderful LOO! Oh lordy....not graceful at all. Nope.
ReplyDeleteThose figurines remind me of spam I constantly get...it seems they got it before me and used those guidelines, lol!
ReplyDeletehappy monday :)
You are hilarious today. A beautifully "Graceful" post.
ReplyDeleteWell, that toilet isn't doing it for me. Yuk! Guess I'm not going to Turkey. Oh no. Have a great MM. :)
ReplyDeleteIn honor of you being a Rockin' Blogger you have been given an award. Please stop by my blog and see what it's all about.
ReplyDeleteWellllll... I could nominate YOUR blog for BIGGEST... er...um... no! Nevermind....
ReplyDeletePlease, please, PLEEEEEASE... NO MORE BLOG AWARDS!!! I will run off screaming into the real world and NEVER return!!!
This was a hard topic for me to write about too. I sat there for quite awhile, trying to find ideas.
ReplyDeleteI am perplexed by the picture of the toilet... that would be awful! I couldn't use it!
Thanks for doing Manic Monday!
Jantics and The Jannaverse
when it comes to toilets... I don't know squat.
ReplyDeleteOh.. and those figurines????... I think there must be a point to them...
Your manic monday posts are always educational. I don't suppose the toilet has instructions for use anywhere nearby? I guess it's better than digging a hole in the woods... but not by much.
ReplyDeleteOh yes... the Turkish toilets. I said grace after I had to use one (couldn´t hold it back any longer) - and didn´t fall into. An other "grace" fell out of my mouth for the TISSUES I found in my handbag! =)
Ekelhaft. Wo bleibt der Sommer?
