ReplyDeleteOne of the nice things about visiting your blog is the tours. You have great pictures and good explanations. It gets me out of my little world into a bigger one.
ReplyDeleteYou did nice report! The architecture of the museum is beautiful. Would want to stay as young as the last animals but I'm affraid to know the secret of their eternel beauty!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo's. Love the heffalumps!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous museum! I know what you mean about the changes that have taken place. When we were young people (including children) respected things in a museum - they didn't HAVE to be behind glass -- we just knew "DON'T TOUCH!" ... but now? EVERYTHING must be protected! And sOMe things have disappeared entirely... I was SHOCKED to learn recently that OUR Star Spangled Banner does not hang freely anymore. After it's recent restoration it has been put behind glass too. So sad. That is NOT how that flag was meant to be!
ReplyDeleteI would so love to visit Belgium and see some of these things you share with us!
Oh! By the way! Carmen is planning a day to trip to Belgium while she's in Amsterdam this Spring -- she would like some advice on where to go and what to see -- the request is on her blog today... Maybe you could help her out! Carmen
