FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

I think this was the easiest FFF I ever wrote since I am participating. Now that my bronchitis finally is over I feel so weak and tired that even the slightest movement brings cold sweat on my forehead.
I could only walk a few steps without sitting down. So I sat or lay on my sofa and watched movies. I didn't have the imagination to write and fell asleep halfway through a film. My little trip to the Lorraine has probably taken more effort than I thought. I'm sorry that I have nothing else to offer besides an empty head and the feeling I've been run through a wringer. It was like that until Thursday

I watched a very interesting program on TV which was called "Transformation". This time it was a father who had asked his son to have his tatoos covered for only one day, just to see how he would look "normal" again. When the guy appeared I almost fell off my sofa, there was not a single cm of his skin uncovered. He told us with proud that his body is tatooed to 90 % ! I suppose the uncovered spot must be in his slip !

To my taste he looked like a monster, he must be full of complexes and hides himself behind the tattoo.  For him it must be a big effort to agree to his father's wish and let his tattoo cover from a professional make up artist. Then he disappeared for 4 hours for the make up !

and here his face is shown before and after. When he discovered himself in the mirror he couldn't believe that what he saw was himself ! Then father and son fell into each other's arms. Dad was happy but son didn't think he was so pretty but agreed to having his face painted for family events, like weddings and funerals. That's something !

On Friday I had an appointment with my pneumologist. For once I was a bit scared. Rick who always cheered me up wasn't there anymore, but my pneumologist who knows me for quite a while was in a good mood, told me that he will change my medication and said that it was normal that my results were not really on the top, but with all I had gone through the last 4 years it was not abnormal either. I didn't know that the COPD is sensitive to stress, anxiety etc and reacts with asthma attacks. Now I understood better. Then he told me to enjoy life, travel and meet a young man ! I agreed to everything except the young man and made a gesture as if I would strangle him. We both laughed and then I went home, and all my black thoughts had disappeared.

HODGEBODGE FEBRUARY 23

1. What do you find is the most boring part of your life at the moment?

That I can't go out and do what I want; because I had a bronchitis and haven't recovered yet. Boring is not even an expression, I am like a tiger turning around in his cage, only that I can't turn around, I am too weak !

2. February 22nd is George Washington's birthday. You'll find his face on the US $1 bill. What's the last thing you bought for roughly $1.00? (.94 €/ .83 £)

I can't even remember when I had a Dollar bill in my hand ! Ever since abroad people prefer to be payed in Euros and not in Dollars anymore it must be several years ago.

3. Is it ever okay to tell a 'little white lie'? Explain.

A lie that is told in order to be polite or to stop someone from being upset by the truth.. It would really not be nice to tell a person that she becomes more and more fat ! Even if it is the truth !

4. What's the last thing you 'chopped'? Cherry pie, chocolate covered cherries, a bowl of cherries, cherry vanilla ice cream, maraschino cherries, a cherry lifesaver...your favorite cherry flavored something?

Nothing of the above mentioned things, I am not a sweet girl, I like to eat cherries from the tree.

5. Describe yourself with three words using your first, middle, and last initials.

Impulsive, explorer, fun

6. Insert your own random thought here.

As long as I don't know what a strange disease I have, I prefer to have an empty head and think nothing
