WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Once I could go into an "all you can eat" restaurant ! Now I am not allowed, anyway all restaurants are closed. Only memories remain and our lockdown is only one and a half month old ! Seems ages to me. The worst thing is, I  become more and more lazy ! Can't do anything not even clean out the rubbish and things I could throw away. Everything is closed. Therefore I leave everything as it is and just wait until we will be allowed to go out again and we are getting back to normal life, although I personally think that life will be another "normal" !

CARREFOUR SHOP

Carrefour S.A. is a French multinational retailer headquartered in Greater Paris. It is one of the largest hypermarket chains in the world, with 1,452 hypermarkets at the end of 2011, the fourth largest retail group in the world in terms of revenue (after Wal-Mart, Tesco and Costco), and the third in profit, after Wal-Mart and Tesco. Carrefour operates mainly in Europe, Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, but also has shops in North Africa and other parts of Asia. Carrefour means "crossroads" and "public square" in French. It hasn't made its way to the States yet.

It had been a long time that I hadn't been to Carrefour, and as it was so cold outside, it was the ideal place to walk around and take some pictures.

The hypermarket was full of people doing their last Easter shopping

The garden section was empty, nobody needed barbecues or garden furniture yet

But the flowers had a big success

As usual there were only men in the multimedia section, women belong to washing machines and dishwashers.

A little bit of the new collection

Something for the beauty too

and of course a jewelry is not missing

In the food section I discovered a variety of seafood and fish

a big choice of cheese mostly from Belgium, France and Italy

The same for sausages and ham

There was even a Sushi stand

a huge selection of bread

Easter cakes

and eggs for children. Only two were left

The wine came from all countries and you had a big choice. In Belgium people mostly drink a glass of wine (or more) with lunch and supper.

After having seen enough, I returned home.

Our Christmas tree not at home but with our son and family in the Belgian Ardennes

the dog he "babysitted" while his owner was on Christmas holidays,

In this very old farmhouse which dates from 18 hundred something, there was still this old stove besides the central heating, and it made the room warm and cosy.

the traditional turkey

and we had a delicious meal which our son prepared, during the two days we stayed there. He is a hobby cook.
