Rosie and her mum

This week we had a wonderful weather, a bit cold in the shade but very warm in the sunshine, and suddenly the empty park was filled with people enjoying the outcoming flowers and leaves. Spring was in the air. Unfortunately the air was not good, I don't know why, because the traffic is far away, but I couldn't do my usual walk, I had to sit down. But that was nice too, I took my tablet out and scrabbled. Then slowly slowly came the others and for the first time this year we could play outside. We played Micado
with enormous sticks ! To my surprise I won ! It was fun. It was so warm that we had to take off our cardigans. There were a few visitors who also had fun.
Sunday morning when I woke up I heard that it was raining ! The farmers will be happy, after one week of sunshine they feared drought !
It was the weekend without activities, so I did what I had to do with my Blog but then I didn't feel like it anymore. So I watched a short film, and it was already dinner time. I still eat in my room. It's more peaceful here, and Rosie is happy too.
At 3 p.m. I went to our restaurant, and as soon as I sat down and opened my Scrabble, the first people appeared, checking to see if anyone was there. I felt like a flower that attracts bees, or something that cows leave there and attracts flies.
And then Sonia came along with her walker and wanted to sit next to me. She did, but she hadn't put the brakes on, and the walker slipped out from under her bottom. She fell on her back on the floor, head first, and her legs in the air. We let her lay on the floor, and asked for a nurse. At that moment a male nurse stopped his car just at the entrance, he had forgotten something had returned, but it was his afternoon off. He helped Sonia to sit on a chair and checked if she had nothing broken. Fortunately everything was OK. So he left and the nurse on duty came, checked her head and back and then gave her a pain killer. Poor Sonia was a bit shocked, but she was OK and stayed with us. I told her that thanks to her we had an activity on a dull Sunday, which made her laugh.
I returned to my room and finished this post. Rosie is still sleeping, so that she is fit for the night to play the flying cat and land on my belly.
Your last line made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Rosie with her mum. So precious.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to enjoy being outside and congratulations on winning the game.
Sorry about your friend falling. I'm glad she's okay. Frightening to fall when we're old.
