HODGEPODGE JANUARY 16

 1.  It's been said January is 'the month of opportunity, inspiration, and change." Which of the three do you need most right now? Elaborate.

I think what I'm needing most is inspiration for all things I used to do. Since Rick's death, I feel empty, especially now in these winter months.

2. Do you consider opportunity as something that comes to you or something you create for yourself?

I believe that opportunities in my life have always come to me without me doing anything for them.

3. The British Museum opened on this date (January 15th) back in 1759. Do you like visiting museums? Do you have a favorite?

Oh yes I love museums, paintings, sculptures, history etc. When I traveled in the past, museum visits were always on my travel plan.

4. It's National Oatmeal Month (yes, apparently it gets a whole month as opposed to a single day). Do you like oatmeal? How often do you eat a bowl of oatmeal? How do you like yours? What about an oatmeal cookie? Is that a sweet treat you enjoy?

I love oatmeal, but not cooked. I pour a little water on it and cut up fresh fruit and add it. I like oatmeal cookies too,

5.What's something useful you learned in high school?

not to put up with anything if it is the truth that I defend, not to be impressed just because the person is an important one. No one would have dared to bully me.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Since Monday when I look out of the window I have this view. It takes all my energy I just hang around and think ... I will do this tomorrow and suddenly it's Friday and the week is over.
Where are the trees, the birds and the castle ca ts ??

  1. Your snowy view is pretty. January feels like a month to hibernate and I always have more energy and resolve to do things in February. Have a great week!

  2. Ohhhh I love museums, especially if they have curators' notes, including in English, next to each display. My favourites:
    The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam
    Vatican Museums, Rome
Nahum Goldmann Museum of the Jewish Diaspora, Tel Aviv and
    Le Louvre, Paris

  3. I buy oatmeal to feed the pigeons; they love it.
My favorite museum is the one in Heraklion (Crete). it gave me lots of things to think about.

  4. I like porridge - it's very satisfying, and extra special with fruit, nuts, seeds and yoghourt added.

  5. January is definitely not a good month when you have weather like that but at least you have lots of activities organised for you in your castle to keep you distracted.

  6. Interesting way to eat oatmeal. I will try it. The scene out your window is quiet, pure and serene but I'm sure you will be happier to see it in Spring. :)
