I live in Waterloo (Belgium) where Napoleon lost his battle. I am German, but have lived most of my life in Belgium. I was happily married for 54 years with an Italian, who was the love of my life. Now I am a widow.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
Long live the (snail) Mail !
(Letter sent by the pension office on Feb 4 and received by us on March 3 !!)
well I hope they are giving you lotsa ££$£$£$ (sorry no Euro sign on this computer)
ps Gattina I am moving to GERMANY the Land von ihre Vatern oder Etwas
I wanted to ask you what you think the pros and cons of Berlin are, considering I'm emigrating there and never coming back (excpe I am not saying that bc that would look childish and petty...)
But they did get it to you. We got a package with a Florida address . How it came to us I don't know. Then they had to take it back and start it out again. I hope it got there.
Sounds about right for the Pension department. They have lost stuff of mine, even when I have taken it in, handed it to them personally and been given a receipt! So an extra slow snail mail doesn't surprise me. Govt Depts are the same the world over...
LOL - Someday our grandchildren will wonder what it was like to get a real letter in the post!

ReplyDeletewell...if you divide the postage by the number of days, it really is quite a bargain.
