When you come into my house the first thing you will see is this glass vitrine where some of the small cat items are shown. They are coming from different countries all over the world. My friends use to buy them when they go travelling or when they find a special cat somewhere.
These little chinese once are very special, they are of porcelain and are very old probably beginning 20th century. I got them from a neighbor whose nephew was working in China in 1919.
See the one on the toilet covered with the bandages ? My son bought it for me when I was sick !
The little cats out of glass came from Venice (Italy)
What a collection of kitties! Great Show and Tell....Betty
ReplyDeletewow, what a collection! this is indeed priceless, i'm glad none of your cats bumped into that shelf or else they will be in trouble. i love those chinese cats too, they are so cute and of course the cat on the toilet too :)
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing...but, all I can think of right now is "keeping that clean"....what a job of work that would be.
ReplyDeleteExcellent show n tell again Gattina.
My show n tell is posted. Drop in for a visit if you can find time, I love visitors. :o)
Great kitty collection! I love how you have them displayed.

My first thought was.."I would hate to have to dust all of those". smile. What a great collection you have. Sandy
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a collection and how wonderful to have so many friends that treat you with cats from far away! Looks like you are loved...
ReplyDeleteYour collection really IS amazing! I'm not sure I would have been able to keep it going for so many years as you have! I have collected many things in my time - but I always get bored with them and get rid of them before they get anywhere NEAR the size of your collection!!! Right now I'm in the process of getting rid of ALL collections... I'm sick of clutter!
ReplyDeleteOMG! What a collection, Gattina! So many! Do you make sure you pick up a kitty cat from wherever you go on vacation? :) Thanks for visiting my S&T post.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a collection! Did you already count them?

LOVELY!
