This happened to me this week when I came into the kitchen !
I discovered a corpse swimming in the cat's water bowl. I didn't scream, but behaved like the photographer of a crime scene and took a picture of the dead victim.
Then I solved the crime. The murder was this sweet looking girl, who had killed the poor mouse and brought it into the kitchen to drown it in the water bowl to make sure that it is absolutely dead !
Crime solved, I throw the mouse in the bin and therefore covered a crime because I didn't call the police !
Oh no! And now I'm an accomplice to the crime, because you told me all about it and I'm not going to call the police either ;>)....

Dick's cat used to leave the dead mice on the porch.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived alone, I had two cats and a dog. One day the dog and I came home, and there was a headless mouse in the hall. Fortunately, the dog wasn't interested in it. Unfortunately, I never knew which cat killed it and which cat bit off its head.
Drowning it in the water dish is a nice touch, however. A clean, dead mouse.

That mouse deserved to be murdered Rosie as it was silly enough to come near a house with four cats. Next time try to bury your victim so your water bowl stays clean and Mrs.G doesn't have to clean the crime scene.

We sure had fun wondering where all the mice were coming from lol
When I understood I kept the doors and windows closed so I knew when the cats came in and when they went out.......mouse free lol
