Janis at Life according to Jen & Jer our host this week, asks us :
What is the favorite room in your home? Tell us why and show us a photo if you can.
When I was a child I didn't care about rooms, as a teenager I had my own room with my own decorations, but I seldom stayed in there only for sleeping because I found other homes nicer and more cosy than mine with my cleaning obsessed mother and my macho father.
Married I found all rooms nice first in our appartment and then in our house. I loved them all.
When I got older I needed an own room and something only to please me. Since 5 years now, I have exactly what I wanted. Whatever is in there is my taste and for my well being. I don't care what people think about my decoration, I love my room and feel well in there.
the bed and window side. My bed is not always crowded by cats, usually there is only one sleeping on there. The picture with all of them was really unic.
My little blogging place and a chat corner for me and friends when Mr. G. squats the living room and watches TV. All paintings so see on the walls I painted myself over the years.
Here I spend most time of the day except of course in summer when it is warm then I prefer to sit outside.
I LOVE your room Gattina! So lively, and it really reflects the YOU in you. Right now, my bedroom is also a place where I sleep...and hopefully through the years I can find time to have it fixed to what I really wanted.
ReplyDeleteOh, that Arthur just makes me smile, Gattina. He thinks he looks good with his colorful bedcovers and ears sticking straight up. Are you cat paintings of real cats or just from your imagination? I'm glad you have such a happy retreat. It's even more special if you didn't have that growing up.
ReplyDeleteOh Gattina, what a fun colourful room. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLOL..Arthur under the covers...LOL...that is just too funny. Wow I didn't know you were an artist? WOOT!!! Those are wonderful and your room is sooooo you. :) Have a great week ahead :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors....just like you, bright, happy and colorful!!! And the paintings...I especially like those 'cause I know you've painted them. And then....Arthur in bed, all snuggled under the blanket. Too much Gattina...I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI love the room, Gattina! It is bright and warm and alive! I especially love Arthur under the covers in the bed! lol!
ReplyDeleteI do not have my own room, but wish that I did!
wow, nice colorful rooms!
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful room -- totally you! And of course I love it too because there is so much ORANGE! It's about as cheerful as a room could get!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room, Gattina! I have my own room too, but alas, it is where the computer lives, so I have to share it. I do, however, reserve the right to throw away anything left behind by messy child or husband.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be surrounded by all of those things you love. I just think this is a fabulous idea. And that photo of the white cat under the blanket cracks me up. Glad to know I'm not the only one with pampered pets. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep saying I am going to take one of our guest rooms and turn it into MY SPACE! To just have a room like you with all the things you love can make life sooooo pleasurable. Your room is so bright n cheery...Love your paintings...you are very talented! Thanks for sharing Gattina and Happy FM
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm and welcoming corner of the world you have created! I love the colors, Gattina.
ReplyDeleteI love your bright colors of reds and oranges. And your cat paintings are great! You have a wonderful space to call your own!
ReplyDeleteIt looks a cosy, friendly room and reflects you. That Arthur is the star.
ReplyDeletehow fun to have a place to call your own! my new link is up at the main page, now, the old one didn't go to the current week!
ReplyDeleteGattina I would love to have a room that I could call my own so I envy your special room for relaxing.
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings and room where everything is near and at hand.
ReplyDeleteI like when you say: "Whatever is in there is my taste and for my well being".
ReplyDeleteI better do not enter in details about what I had to do lately with my things on the room of the house I am currently "living".
But now it is almost a bare room. A naked room, with all my things put down.
Is very windy over here you know ...
