SHOW & TELL

The host is Kelly

Today I make a break with my cat collection and show you some other things.

This wrinkled lemon pig, believe it or not will be 39 years old on December 6 ! I kept it as souvenir of our wedding in 1969. Besides all plates as a little decoration was such a little pig. I never thought it would keep for such a long time ! But it still stands with other souvenirs in our showcase.

Our son's first walking shoe. As it is the use in Belgium I had put his first shoes in a bronze bath, one for us and one for the grandparents. I remember I had to pay a supplement because his feet were too big, two sizes over a normal baby shoe and that hasn't changed he still has at least two sizes over a normal men shoe.

When I was a little girl, there were no beer bottles and my grandpa loved to drink his beer once he came home from work. So he send me with this beer jug in the local pub where I proudly asked to fill it up to carry it home very carefully.

Beautiful memories.

What a wonderful show and tell. I remember making "fruit animals" like your lemon when I was a girl. I also have my step-daughters bronzed baby shoes displayed in my home. They are so sweet. Have a wonderful day, and please stop by to see my show & tell!

Those are great Gattina. Were you married on December 6th? That's my wedding anniversary. The story about you going and getting the beer jug filled is great...

That lemon pig is unreal! No mold? People used to have baby shoes bronzed here too but I didn't.

Loved your shares. That little piggy is too special. When I saw it it just made me smile. I'm fairly new to your blog. Is there a story behind using them for table decorations? Have a nice day, Linda

The memories contained n each of these are priceless.
Funny my son never showed signs of having big feet as a babe, but he has them now at age 15.

Thank you for sharing these, I love the last the most, reminds me of my father for some reason.

I can't believe that lemon pig is 39 years old! Amazing. Love the baby's shoe...people do that here, too, sometimes.

I know I was early for Cats on Tuesdays, but I work in the city on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, that's why I do it early...otherwise it wouldn't get done at all.

You have an interesting item there with that 39 year old lemon! That just really made me laugh. I think it will last for another 39 years.
