FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

more participants at Susanne at Living to tell the Story.

1. I finally could reach the plumber who arrived at 5.30, although he had promised to be there at 3 pm. I don't know how your workers are but with ours here it's a lottery game, do they come or not ! He stated that the tube could not be repaired because it was welded to the faucet. Very clever of the manufacturer, because instead of replacing a tube you have to buy a new faucet ! Another day without water in the kitchen !

2.

Acqua gym was on Tuesday instead of Monday because of school holidays, I don't know why they change days, as we are mostly not working women and have nothing to do with children anymore. Dominique and I arrived a little too early and for the first time I was able to make a picture of the swimming pool without anybody in it !

3. My hair needs a cut each 6 weeks and it was more than urgent to go to the hairdresser, I looked like a Halloween witch. Now I look a little better.

4. Since we have had removed all bushes and plants at the side of our house, the window in our guest room needed curtains because it was too light especially when the sun was shining. I still had a piece of fabric and as I cannot sew, Dominique came over to take the measures, cut the fabric and took it with her to make the curtains. Very sweet of her. Then of course we had a cup of tea together.

5. My friend Nicole has a holiday flat in Ostend at the Belgian coast and as she had to look after it before the rental season, she invited me for the day. So I took the train to Ostend and had a very nice day.

The flat is absolutely gorgeous for max 4 people to rent with a nice view on the sea and even an open fireplace. Because it was quiet windy and cold, we just made a little tour and afterwards had lunch in her flat and looked at the sea from the warm room.

Unfortunately the lift was in reparation and out of work, and we had to climb up 7 floors ! Charly the dog went on strike after the 4th floor and it took some time to convince him that we had to go up another 3 floors. But we managed, although my legs hurt a little today ! Going down was much easier.

Seven floors !! That was a good workout. Your Aqua gym pool looks inviting. Yes our plumbers are the same.

Oh, I would love to stay in your friend's flat. It does look gorgeous. Those stairs would be killer though and I am sure I'd also protest half way up. But then the view of the sea and the open fireplace would more than make up for the stairs.

The pool looks wonderful. You are so faithful in your attendance. I need to find an exercise that I want to do on a regular basis.

Oh, yes. I need to get a haircut too. Hopefully on Saturday!

Have a great week!

I got my hair cut this week too :)
That holiday flat looks like a fantastic place, seven flights of stairs notwithstanding.
The pool is so inviting. I shoud swim more often as I have a pool available to me too--I just don't use it.
Have a happy weekend.

Your friend's flat looks so nice. I'd love to stay there :). It made me smile when I read, "Charly the dog went on strike after the 4th floor."

Have a wonderful weekend!

What a nice week you've had - apart from the plumber, of course;-)

This week I had to wait for the telephone repairman, so I know how frustrating that can be! That pool looks so inviting! And that rental is absolutely gorgeous! Looks like a good week for you. Enjoy the weekend!

Our plumbers and maintenance people are like that too - strange when we are paying them to do the job, isnt it?I remember once when we had to wait for 5 hours for the plumber to come!

There was a show on TV last night and one of the characters needed a hair cut, and his whole world was coming apart because his barber was ill. It was like his whole universe was falling apart! Oh I laughed so hard!

7 floors is a lot of stairs especially if you have groceries.
lol
but it keeps you healthy :)

That flat by the ocean looks cozy. What a nice day to enjoy with a friend!

;D haha on the hair!

Hope you have a great weekend (with water in the kitchen somehow being involved.)

7 floors up? I'd have given up when the dog did. But I'd love to have a holiday flat in Ostend. Or anywhere on the continent. I am tired of living only in the UK. You can't go anywhere easily.

That looks like a lovely get away flat. But 7 floors to climb?! Yikes. Good thing you work out at that pool!

How sweet of your friend to sew the curtains for you. I may have to borrow her sometime as sewing is not my favorite thing and my kitchen desperately needs curtains. :v)

How fun to go to the coast, I alway enjoy a trip to the coast. And plumbers, yes, they tend to come whenever they want to, and I think that's pretty much true anywhere.

That flat looks really nice! Love the yellow in it. After 7 floors I would've just stayed there all day!
