HODGEPODGE

1. Did you watch the solar eclipse? Your thoughts? Sun Chips, Moon Pies, Starburst candies, a Blue Moon beer, a Sunkist orange, or a Milky Way candy bar...what's your favorite eclipse related snack on this list?

When was that ? I totally missed it. Anyway with the "wonderful" weather we have here the sky is packed with thick clouds, there could be a solar eclipse everyday and I wouldn't notice !

2. What are you 'over the moon' about these days? What's something you enjoy doing every 'once in a blue moon'?

There is nothing which could make me feel "over the moon" for the moment. I haven't won in the lottery either, no wonder because I never played ! I don't like shopping but once in a blue moon I need new feathers and then I look for something to wear, a blouse, a pullover or a T-shirt.

3. Tell us about something in the realm of science that interests you. How do you feed that interest?

That's a very tricky question ! Science is such a vast subject ! But at least I found the answer in a dictionary :  Science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
‘the world of science and technology’

Therefore I would be interested in animals and I feed my interest in feeding my 3 cats.

4. What are a few things you remember about going back to school as a child?

I only remember that I hated going to school and that all my teachers were monsters. At that time the kids weren't kings yet !

5. I've seen several versions of this around the net so let's make one of our own...share with us five words that touch your soul and briefly tell us why.

What touches my soul ? A sunset or sunrise, because of its beauty, my cats when they are playing and make me laugh, a flower bouquet makes me happy, my grandson whom I don't know yet really, meeting with good friends. (I hope the answers fit, because I didn't really understand the question)

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I think of everything I should do and make a long list in my mind, and then I hesitate if I should do it today or tomorrow ??

  1. I hear you on the weather. Yesterday it was summer here, but today we're back to autumn!

We didn't get the solar eclipse here in Europe, it was only in North America. I don't think I ever saw one though.

  2. What solar eclipse? nothing ever happens here. If ever I return to Brussels for more than 2 hours (unlikely) I will have a waffle. I remember going to school and being compared unfavourably with my older sister. I always love your Hodgepodge.

  3. A sunset or sunrise always touches my soul, as well. The heavens truly do declare God's glory.

I didn't love school either, especially in the early years. I did come to the place eventually (probably around age 10 or so) where I actually enjoyed school.

  4. I never had a monster teacher. We definitely were not kings but all my teachers were kind.

  5. Love your wordless pics. Hodgepodge gives a bit of insight into your character. You are a HOOT!

  6. We had partial eclipse here. I was driving while it happened, but I could see it got darker!
I hated school, too, and am very, very happy that I no longer have to go :-)

  7. I think you did well with your answers. The questions were tricky this week. The eclipse was only visible in parts of America, not here so you didn't miss anything :)

  8. I love the photos! I would be very happy to have fries that big. I love potatoes. :)

I'm sorry that all of your teachers were monsters. My first one was a meanie but, with a few exceptions, the rest of them were okay. Some of them were even great, great as teachers and even as human beings. :)

I don't like shopping either, especially clothes shopping for myself. I'd almost rather go to the dentist than have to shop for clothes.

    Have a blessed day!

  10. We don't play the lottery either. We used to work at a place that sold tickets and it was always crazy when the jackpot got high. Have a great week.

  11. I love your first photo because I adore fries!! I think I could eat them three times a day ...but alas, I can't do that!!

  13. I don't ever do challenges like Hodgepodge because I'm too lazy to think of good answers, but I always love reading your answers because they are so unique and so 'you"....not just canned responses like everybody else seems to do. The waffle and french fry signs made me hungry.

  14. I remember these gorgeous chips - had them in Ansterdam though. ANd as for weather, we didn't have a solar eclipse but just about escaped a horrid deluge.
