A LITTLE PARK IN WATERLOO

Very close to where I live is a nice little park with a rather big pond. The weather was cold but sunny so with my neighbor we did a little walk around the pond.

Ducks were holding a little meeting

Swans swam around

I think this was a guinea fowl, my bird knowledge is very limited

An overview

A retirement home nearby

But no sign of spring yet, the trees are still naked !

  1. Hi Gattina .. lovely to have this park with its pond nearby .. and it's not a guinea fowl .. probably a duck! I'm not good with birds either .. but I know guinea fowl from South Africa .. cheers Hilary

  3. It is a nice park. Please take some photos in mid summer to show it to us when it is at its best.

  4. One or two more of those fine days and everything will just jump out and bloom! I hope that day will come soon.

  6. These are so lovely. I love the ring of ripples in the first shot, the colors in the second and the upside down reflections. Good eye!

  9. That bird with the big feet is a coot. A pretty pond and park; I love urban nature places... we can't always go out into the country (or don't even want to); it's great when cities have a space like thi.

  12. Beautiful, it's lovely to be able to walk near water. And yes, we call the little bird a coot.

  13. It looks a great place for a walk. The naked trees are artistic. Sorry I haven't been around lately busy doing other things.
