ARE YOU A SHOE FAN ?

Now that fall is moving in I stated that I badly needed shoes. I only buy shoes when I don't have the choice between running around in slippers or in antique shoes in a terrible state. How often did I forget to put on my shoes and nearly went out in slippers.

You can live besides me for a century and I woudn't notice if you wear shoes with high heels, sport shoes, flat shoes, flip flops or boots. The only thing I probably would notice is that you don't wear any shoes.

I have a friend who loves shoes, she is a real shoe addict, she could wear 10 different pairs per day. She has to have to each cloth the fitting shoes, the color, the model the I don't no what and she always is disappointed when she has to draw my attention to the fact that she had bought again a new pair of shoes or boots or whatever because I am shoe blind ! She thinks that everybody looks at shoes and without an elegant shoe you are not an elegant lady. That doesn't bother me at all. I like to be well dressed but I forget my feet. My friend must have over 70 pairs of shoes, she rather would safe money on food than on shoes. My mother was like that too. When she died we counted over 60 pairs of shoes she had never worn and which were still in their original boxes.

Now by curiosity, are you a shoe fan or are you like me rather shoe blind ?

Very comforting for shoe fans !

  1. I love shoes but mainly because I almost never go bare feet. I only wear flat and black ones...so they at least always match my purses ... which are all black. My shoes have to fit 2 major requiremets: color AND they have to be very, very comfortable. My feet ache just by looking at the trendy high heels !

  2. I love shoes and I would love shoes to match your ensemble however today I can't find good shoes to fit my feet properly so no matter what I wear its always with a good pair of NIKE's lol Today people care about comfort not looks.

  3. It's not that I am shoe blind, but more that I have terrible feet. Both were broken in my life, and so I have oddly shaped feet and it is hard to find shoes. Forget fancy shoes or heels I cannot wear them. I wear sensible old lady shoes and then I am happy!

  4. I always see nice shoes walking around on other people's feet. I like shoes but not the high heels I used to wear. Most of the time I wear trainers.

  5. I do notice shoes, but I don't own a lot of pairs. It's so difficult to find the right pair. And saving money on food to buy shoes? That will never happen here. Unless I've got an interview coming up of course...

  6. Oh dear I will admit that I am a tremendous shoe fan. Summer shoes and winter shoes are changed seasonally and the out of season shoes are kept in boxes with photos of the contents on the ends!! I know I know such an organised person, the librarian in me.

  9. I have come to love shoes but unfortunately not as a fashion item. I went barefoot as often as I could as a child and still do at home when the weather is warm enough. I wear flats even when I know that heels would be more elegant, but I can't bear to be uncomfortable. But my shoe wardrobe now contains apple green, purple, red, yellow and multicoloured shoes. I always have to have some splash of colour about my person. This is usually on my feet!

  10. I would love to wear glamerous shoes with very high heels to make me look taller but as I would most likely fall off the heels I now go for comfort.
My handbags always have cat pictures on them and so never match my shoes.

  12. I love shoes, but probably because it's just the last years I've been able to find any I like! All shoes before that always were too wide for my narrow feet. Or was way too expensive. So now I love to wear fitting shoes to the clothes - but I do NOT have 70 pairs! no, no.

I do have A LOT of flipflops though, in different colors, because we know a guy selling them and get them cheap every summer. I love wearing flipflops as long as it's possible!
