FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

more participants at Susanne at Living to tell the Story.

1. On Monday we celebrated our 41 wedding anniversary, I think I earn a medal that I am still with the same man after so many years ! that's probably half of my life ! Of course he could say the same. So we both get a medal. We didn't do anything special because there was so much snow and the streets so bad, that we celebrated with fresh raviolis filled with mozzarella, spinach and nuts.

and here is the present which I got, or I should say we, because I suspect Mr. G. that he also buys the cats for himself, I am a good excuse.

2. As the main streets were quiet clean Ilona and I adventured to a store where we admired the Christmas decoration

and enjoyed a cup of tea at her home with a cosy fire burning in the oven. On the left you can see her cat laying in the basket. She is a cat fan too.

3. Then it snowed again and I couldn't go out, I used the opportunity to make back ups and put some order in old pictures.

I also took pictures of my cats, who are sitting around in the Christmas decoration.

4.The rest of the week was very much the same.

Here is Mr. G. leaving for his computer class, where he explains how to work on a computer to people who want to learn. He does it voluntary for Waterloo citizens. The city had bought 9 computers to help people (mostly elderly) to learn how practical a computer can be. His eldest pupil was 85 ! and of course it had snowed again ....

5. I had to go out to buy a book in my second hand shop, because I had nothing to read anymore, with this bad weather I read a lot of course. During the night it had rained and there was glaze, fortunately not on the main road, so I bought my book and quickly slowly returned home. You should have seen me walking ! Like a drunken duck !

  6. Happy 41st anniversary, Gattina and Mr G. I agree that he bought that lovely mother cat and kittens for BOTH of you, lol! I love your cats sitting at the decorations. They 're always inquisitive hey? Lovely pets to have, cats! Good on Mr G for helping older people with computer classes. Last year I taught an elderly friend (82) of mine on my laptop. Then her daughter in Australia arranged with my son who's an IT manager here in town, to buy a desktop the old friend is now computer literate. She is in daily contact with her daughter and other family all over the world. And knows how to read blogs (she's a follower of mine, sweet lady) and surfs the net. I wrote an article on her for the provincial newspaper. She sent cuttings all over the world! Have a good day. (((Hugs))) Jo

  8. Happy Anniversary! If anyone stays married to the same person for more than 40 years then yes, a medal should be given to honor that!

Once I read how you love cats, I started seeing them everywhere in your photos!

I think a good long storm of some kind would be great for staying home and reading and working on the computer.
