WEEKLY WINNERS - At the sea

More participants here at Sarcastic Mom Weekly winners

On Monday I went to the sea they had announced nice weather, but in the morning it was still a little cloudy and quiet cool. Too cool anyway to lay on the beach.

This is in Coxyde shortly before the French border. There were lots of French tourists too.

I didn't know what this tower in cross form was, apparently it is to measure the weather and sea conditions, like storms, floats etc.

We also saw this romantic wind mill which turned slowly in the wind

These are Cuistax, they exist for 8, 6, 4 or two persons and everybody pedals along the beach way. Apparently they only exists at the Belgian coast, because I have never seen them in another European country.

and of course the dunes, so nice to walk barefoot on the sand.

  1. The beach and the sand look so beautiful! I would want to be there! I see me very well walking through the dunes!
I posted my last article this morning. I was so busy and tired those days with the warm temperatures and all trips I did to Nice and Aix en Provence without climatisation as it didn't work in my car!

  2. Beautiful. They had something very similar to those carts where I grew up on Cape Cod. My brother, sister and I would rent one and ride all over town. They peddled and as I was the littlest, I sat squished in the middle.

  3. I went to the beach this weekend too. Something about the sea is so peaceful.

I love the Cuistax... we need those in our Gulf Coast town. The tourists would be every where in them.

  4. You know... I love the ocean sO much that I like to be there even in the winter ... in the snow! There is really NOTHING more beautiful than a snow covered beach! Not AS much fun as a sand covered beach - but beautiful anyway! Sounds like you found some fun even on a cooler day too!

  7. Looks like a gorgeous beach, the same type of sand dunes as over here at our summer island!

Never seen or heard of those Cuistax's, but they sure look like they would be fun to ride.

We've had such a heatwave that we've only been at the different beaches all the time, impossible to be anywhere else - until yesterday's thunderstorms that left the island without electricity for hours. Today cloudy and windy and now in the evening the sun came back again.

Tomorrow is the day of the yearly golf competition for hubby...
