FUN MONDAY - Summer Vacation

Patience wants to know

How I'll Spend My Summer Vacation!

Good question ! As I am on vacation the whole year, I don't choose the summer school holidays for my vaction, I will go end May on a roundtrip through the South of Morocco, during 12 days.
The country is so beautiful and I love red rocks and dunes and want to see the Sahara.

SOUTH MOROCCO: a country of golden sandhills
and kasbahs and fortified villages, with its oases
and thousands of palmtrees hidden in the mountains. A country of mirages and miracles
with its small and bright towns and voluptuous and
unexpectedly fresh oases springing amidst barren and
dreary areas.

Next comes Italy together with Mr. Gattino. As usual we are going end June for 10 days to the Garda Lake to visit family and friends.

End July I will go back again for a week to my summer school like last year. Maybe again for photography or just for painting. This is not yet sure.

In August I will visit my friend in Eastbourne at the South East coast in England which I do each year. This time I will be able to see the air show which takes place in Eastbourne and apparently is very nice to watch.

November/December I will go back to Egypt to the red sea, for 2 weeks to fill me in with sunshine which helps me over the winter, until I get my travel fever again !

  1. D*mn it! You beat me to Sahara! I've always wanted to go there! I hope you'll have a great time and reporting it all back to me.

I would have been very happy if you had written about a certain trip to France to visit Claudie in August. That would have made it perfect. Ah, well, we have to imagine you there :-)

  10. You have a lot to look forward to Gattina.
When I go to Tunisia we will visit an oasis on the edge of the Sahara. I'm looking forward to that.

I've been listening to the news about the terrible earthquake in Italy.

  11. I'm really impressed with your travel schedule Gattina. When I read through where you'll visit and what you'll do can see that you have the same beliefs about the value of travel--exploration of new countries, learning something new, connecting with old friends, shopping? Where do you get your year's supply of sandals?

I hope you'll share your experiences because haven't visited any of the places on your list except Italy and England.

  16. I want to retire!!!! You make it sound so wonderful to just be able to pick up and go to exotic places.

If you like red rocks, you should visit the American Southwest sometime. Arches National Park in Utah, Canyonlands in Utah, New Mexico - I bet you'd love it.
