I present you Arthur, I mean to those who don't know him yet.

My neighbor Victor loves his open fire especially in automn and spring when the evenings are cool. Last week he went to his basement where he keeps his logs near the heating. Something terrible happened to him which caused him almost a heart attack.

When he had moved one log, suddenly a white devil jumped out and over the stack direction window. Victor screamed dropped his basket and gasped. Then he turned around and what did he see : Cat Arthur sitting on the window sill washing himself from top to bottom, tail included.

Victor still holding his hand against his chest had to laugh and he told Arthur that one day he would really kill him.

Useless to say that cat Arthur and Victor are friends. Arthur the crooner is the darling of the whole neighborhood.

Here is more about Arthur.

106-year-old voter chooses Obama
A 106-year-old American nun living in a convent in Rome could well be one of the oldest voters to cast a ballot in the 2008 US Presidential election.
Sister Cecilia Gaudette, who last voted for President Eisenhower in 1952, has registered to vote and says she will vote for Democrat Barack Obama."I'm encouraged by Senator Obama," she says. "I've never met him, but he seems to be a good man with a good private life. That's the first thing. Then he must be able to govern," she adds. Here I only can say Bravo ! she still has all her brain ! I wonder if she is McCains cousin, they have about the same age !

Cambodian couple cut home in half

Mr Rim's half of the house has been moved to an undisclosed location
An estranged couple in a rural village in Cambodia have sawn their house in half to avoid the country's convoluted divorce process. Now I am thinking how my city would look like if couples would do the same here ?

US debt clock runs out of digits

Until last month, the clock had enough digits to measure US debt levels
The US government's debts have ballooned so badly the National Debt Clock in New York has run out of digits to record the spiralling figure. The digital counter marks the national debt level, but when that passed the $10 trillion point last month, the sign could not display the full amount. The board was erected to highlight the $2.7 trillion level of debt in 1989. The clock's owners say two more zeros will be added, allowing the clock to record a quadrillion dollars of debt. They must have a big credit card !

Snake bursts after gobbling gator

The predators died in the clash
An unusual clash between a 6-foot (1.8m) alligator and a 13-foot (3.9m) python has left two of the deadliest predators dead in Florida's swamps. The Burmese python tried to swallow its fearsome rival whole but then exploded. The remains of the two giant reptiles were found by astonished rangers in the Everglades National Park. That could happen to us with a big Hamburger !

Fashion fans call in a shrink

ODDBALL fashion victims are splashing out on cosmetic belts to shrink their HEADS.
Women in Japan wear the 5 belt around their bonces while sleeping.
Makers of the Kogao Meiku Beruto claim it will shrink the size of heads over time. I hope it doesn't shrink the brain at the same time !

Taking a bow at Fashion week
BOWS are back and we’ve got the look all tied up.
At Fashion Week’s Topshop Unique show, bow-tied headscarves in the style of Corrie’s Hilda Ogden were big news. Summer’s pretty ribbons are getting a tough twist for autumn, with mesh, leather and metal detailing on everything from necklaces and bags to belts. I don't know if I will follow this fashion ! My head would look like an in a blue ribbon wrapped gift !

FUN MONDAY - I DOODLE

More participants here at {i}Post

{i} Post asks us to doodle this week ! We have to start with the number 9, for Nine Acres, of course. "Draw the number 9 in red and then use a different color for the rest of your doodling. That way we can all see where the original 9 was in your doodle. It is up to you how you incorporate the 9 into the doodle. It can look like something we know, or it can just be shapes. It can be colorful, or can be one color, besides the red 9."

When I read this, I thought I have to call my friend Ilona and discuss with her the beginning of the world until the end, or at least about some people.

This usually inspires me to doodle while I am on the phone. I did it in the past too when I was a secretary to a guy who dictated that slow that a snail could have participated in Formula 1 ! So while he was constructing his sentences I doodled, which of course didn't help him to form his phrases. The poor guy.

Of course I have always doodled cats ! and here is the result of my doodling while I was talking to Ilona.

The analysis wasn't very fruitful. I must be just a simple person . I draw mostly cats :

Doodles of cats need to be examined carefully. Is it playful in nature, or is it a spiteful/aggressive cat? The nature of the cat indicates it's meaning. So what am I ???

I draw ONE flower !

Most flowers are doodled by women, and are romantic in nature. Indicating a desire to blossom and be fruitful in life. (I don't have 10 children !)

The analysis doesn't talk about stickmen.

END OF SUMMER SEASON

The sun was shining (for once) yesterday so I did a little excursion to the Waterloo Lion and Napoleon's battle field as I live only a few miles from this historical site.

Poor Napoleon looked over an almost empty parking

empty street as well and the Panorama (where the battle is shown) in restauration

The restaurant just under the Lion is closed now

but the cows on the ex battle field are still there !

A view where this bloody battle took place in 1815.

and on my way back I saw one house (!) with Halloween decoration !
