DEMOLISHING OF A HOUSE - THE WC SCENE

This scene happened last week in Brussels. I found it on a Belgian website. A whole district of very old and unsanitary houses was demolished and should be replaced by new once. In their eager to do so they also demolished a neigbour's wall of his restroom. It really is too funny if it weren't so sad for the poor inhabitant !

The WC scene .... If a house is demolished, pay attention to the neighbor house !

  1. That's hysterical...it's like something out of a comedy! I loved the heads peering around the door and the neighbours peering out the windows...please note I have typed peering...not peeing.

All very well to have a loo with a view, but I prefer one that's not quite so airconditioned!

  2. Hilarious to see but it wasn't certainly hilarious for the poor neightboors! I imagine my reaction if it was arrived to us! WC! One of the most important place in the house! Je repars cette après midi je vais faire une marche au bord de mer avec ma fille aînée!
    Bonne après midi gattina!

  6. Lucky it wasn't cold there. I just got in from my barn and it is -40C this morning. If it were this cold there one would be reluctant to use the WC with a view. Body parts freeze quickly at this temperature. LOL

I imagine these houses dis not originally have indoor toilets. When this one was installed they must have cut into the common wall of the row house.

  12. It CAN'T be! I find it HARD to believe they would allow people to BE IN the adjoining building while such demolition was going on! Are you suuuuuuuuure this is not staged Gattina???

  16. I can't believe they were using that kind of machinery so close to where people were still living.

Oh my -- at least the bathroom was clean. ha ha -- I'm assuming that was a piece of plaster he pulled out of the bowl. ha ha ha...

Hey - and no need for air fresheners either -- ha ha

  17. That is so funny! Poor guy, at least he wasn't USING his toilet at the time. That would be the only thing that could have been worse.

How nice of them to sweep it out for him before boarding it up!

Thanks for letting me know about this. I needed the laugh today!

  18. that is hilarious, i was laughing all the time, it looks as if it's for a comedy show but it's reality so it's all the more funny. i'm wondering why so many people are in their houses despite the demolition, what if they didn't hit the wall of the toilet but a home with people in it.. hmmm that could be dangerous.
