  1. We haven't gone for our annual Santa-inspired torment yet. I have to work that into the next couple weekends - I can't believe that I don't have it on a list. Thanks for the reminder.

  2. hahaha.... happy children!?

My son was frightened too when he was tiny. I wonder why. And this is a universal thing.

  4. Santa ain't all that they heard he was!! LOL! Happy WW! :)

  5. That was funny! Next thing you know, the politically correct amongst us will outlaw Santa Claus for making kids cry!
BTW: The island and lighthouse you were wondering about are in Kaua'i, Hawai'i - Kilawea Lighthouse.

  7. Classics, all of them! I never did the Santa thing. I never trusted the unknown guys beneath the suit.

Yeah, I have no spirit :)

Hope you have a wonderful WW. I've posted my contribution here and hope you drop by for a look around:

  18. I don't understand why people do this to their children. They are terrorized by their own parents forcing them to sit with a total stranger. "Don't talk to strangers, they could kill you!" then "Here, go sit on this stranger while I walk away".

Happy Wordless Wednesday, Gattina! It is a great post!

Dogs don't do that to our pups. If they start crying we protect 'em. Guess we're different from hoomans. Bark!

    Happy Woofless Wednesday!

  19. These are hysterical. My husband's aunt told our daughter once that these guys aren't the real Santa; they're his helpers because the real Santa has too much work to do on the North Pole. From then on, she had no interest in hanging out with mere staffers!

  20. Hi Gattina, Those poor little kids are petrified of Santa,I have 12 grandchildren and not one of them were forced to sit on Santa knee, we used to stand a distance from Santa and if the kids wanted to see him that was good got some happy photo's . if they cryed we walked away ..

  21. Sometimes that's how I feel about Christmas as well. Thanks for the laughs.

  22. Aw, the poor little loves. I think I'd be terrified too, if some big, hairy-faced guy grabbed me and made me sit on his knee! Great pics - happy WW!

My WW pics can be seen at Siani's Pot-Pourri.

  23. I could add a pic of my daughter to your collection - the first time she met Santa she was 9 months old and she didn't like him one bit!

  24. Those are great. My daughter hates Santa also. Have a good day!!

  26. Cute pics. It's understandable really why young children would be afraid of him. I think I would have been frightened to sit on the lap of a strange man with a huge beard, and dressed all in red.

  27. LOL! That's about how my kids react to Santa too lol.

  28. Those are so funny. We do torture our kids for a picture, don't we? Luckily mine never cried like these!

    Happy WW

  33. Oh God Santa, you are horrible. Look what you did. You made all those kids cry, not to mention that some peed on their pants -unto your knees ( good for you!). Lol.

This brings me into remembering my son's birthday party, one where he had a mascot. It terrified some kids! And I couldn't help feeling guilty. ;D

  36. I'm not proud to admit I did this to my son, too. Made him sit on Santa's lap when he was one...he cried for the next two hours.

    But the picture? Priceless ;).
